To many of us the term tree house conjures up images and memories of salvaged building material, rope ladders and scary construction practices. Those of us with kids, or grandkids, likely would them to have better stuff and safer experiences than we had. Here’s a project where a man took that desire to a whole other level for his kids. The property is in the Philadelphia area. Starzman, LLC is the owner’s rep, the GC is Chase Building Group and the designer is Scott Larkin. LCTF raised the frame last week. Walls, windows and electrical work will be completed presently.
The tree house has three levels, the highest of which is 30 feet above the ground. It is built around – not attached to – a large poplar tree and features a drawbridge and captain’s ladders with offset rungs connecting the levels.
