WoodWorks, a lumber and timber industry standards association for professionals engage in large timber construction of commercial buildings, recently published “Innovations in Timber Construction”. (You can download the whole article with photographs at Innovations in Timber Construction) The article showcases four commercial projects from around the nation which display cutting edge design and execution. Lancaster County Timber Frames is honored to have one of its projects featured in that publication: the St. Joseph Adoration Chapel at Belmont Abbey College in North Carolina.
The June issue of the Central Penn Business Journal, in a front page article entitled Foundry Forging Reinvention of York Count Borough, features a Lancaster County Timber Frames project: The John Wright Store and Restaurant.
Penn State has placed an intern, Michael Cerere, with Lancaster County Timber Frames for the summer. Michael is the second intern we have had with Penn State. In the past we have hosted interns from The American College of the Building Arts and Virginia Tech.
