Sinnemahoning State Park
The Sinnemahoning State Park is situated in the “heart” of the Pennsylvania Wilds region – the north central part of the state. The LEED-certified Wildlife Center – which houses state-of-the art interpretive exhibits and park offices – covers approximately 10,000 square feet and cost $3.8 million to build. The core of the building is a timber-framed atrium.
The roof structure utilizes post-tensioned timber and stainless steel trusses. The timbers are FSC-certified Pennsylvania white oak; the steel is domestically-manufactured 18/8 stainless with a bead-blasted satin finish.
