Description:
Raised in February on the North Atlantic, this Douglas Fir frame went
up during the one week of beautiful weather that month. The elegant
curves and contemporary finials, demonstrate the vast possibilities
of timber framing.
This graceful frame, designed by Beyer, Blinder,
Belle Architects of NYC, features beaded edges, hand-forged tie rods, and
a timber framed landing system leading to a widow's walk on the roof of the
house. To achieve a feeling of lightness, the timbers were white washed. (click
